for colder days

With colder days just around the corner and 5 more weeks to go, I made a little autumn outing outfit. For the kimono I quilted the fabric simply with straight lines (this may very well be the first time ever that I sew something and the stripes line up) and for the pants I used a soft fleece lining out of a fleece blanket (how is it that it's cheaper to buy an Ikea blanket than to buy the same yardage of fleece in a fabric shop?). The pants and the kimono are both Simplicity 5163 which has lots of layette clothes. I don't know whether it's still in print, I found an old one in a charity shop and love it!
